Luke 10:1-24
"He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me." (10:16 NIV)
This is where we get into the stickier parts of Christianity.
Most people are willing to agree that Jesus was a great man and a great teacher. Then in a separate breath, they'll give their opinions about God, and in another sentence, they'll list their comments, and complaints, about those in ministry.
It's the inter-connectivity that seems to bother people. Many people insist on separating Jesus from those spreading the Gospel message, and even on separating Jesus from God.
I understand their frustration. Those who preach the Gospel are human and therefore, flawed, so it's easy to find fault with them. Once this happens, it's easier to dismiss their message.
I also understand the desire to separate Jesus from God. How can God be human without being flawed? How can the God who killed thousands in the Red Sea be the same as Jesus who loves and forgives without reserve? Why can't I just believe in God, or just believe in Jesus?
There are no easy answers for any of these questions. But Jesus IS asking us to consider that accepting one means accepting all.
Imagine Jesus as employer, and those preaching the message as His employees:
If I make a phone call on behalf of my boss, and I am treated rudely, isn't my boss also being treated rudely?
Imagine God as parent, and Jesus as child:
A child is rejected from the school choir. Don't the parents also feel that sting?
Yes, these are very simple examples, but I encourage you to explore, and seek to understand, the relationships between Jesus, God, and those who speak His word. It will only deepen your understanding of God's all-embracing love.
Question: How can your view of Jesus, God, and those who preach the Gospel become more holistic?

HI: I'm reading for an third 'time', or so these personal references re this recommended scripture, over near several day's.
'i', the perberbial 'i', not "I", came at it all from numerous position's, stance's, interpretation's, spectrum.
Basic, I can't say much here, simply because I promised to be clearer, more brief in comments.
The observations are brilliant, insightful, stimulating me to-ward's trying to get more wisdom, on the intital 'rejection' [s], concept. The acme point to initiate from is NIV- 10:16.
It apper's we, many have an tendency to credit 'ourselves', to much for simply reading, or listening. And not an short time later, relating 'our response', to that.
I've mentioned before about good connection, bad connection, and one can use all kind's of physical examples, even house-hold, AC/DC electric as such.
I have not finished, near only started, so you might leave me behind for awhile, to pursue this 'thing', am bit further.
In that process, I'll study it, from an personal-triune approach, of mind, body, and soul.
But, I'm 'landing on your reference', point of, "it's the inter-connectivity point', of contact....that seem's innocent enough, but appear's to bother people.
More important, but inrelation....which intrigues me most, for one we have the messenger being affected, *** and away over here the mesengee or recipiant as well.
The result, if the proper, or ethical consideration is not focused on, can be 'very deviant', even God Forbid as you suggest.
Of the whatever inherent flaw's exist, interpretatively, can dominate, and deride over the, 'Good New's'.
Specific you say, of the process to point you say, "Once this happens, it's easier to dismiss the message".
It seem's to me, deja vu of the 'cross', repeating itself all over again, in very small way's and means, sort of committee.
So, 'who' is the looser, not 'I', said the 'blindman'. But, me said Jesus.
The clarity of all that, for awhile like another apostle named, Thomas, I'll be thinking more about this, for certain, I'll be thinking, and even praying more, 'about this'.
I read somewhere not so long ago, for the very first time. That, the minister of your primary 'church' is partially responsible for, you, not actually you, rather me, rather, 'I'. And, that in the 'final day's', he will have to give, 'some' reasonable, honest account for 'soul's' under his care. I can't confirm this, nor do I want to expedite that process, but it does explain an more generous, charitable 'attitude', insight into this, an sort of 'inter-connectivity', relationship, [s] you allude to.
It's not simple, as Simon once said, but the great english Bishop, of the 40's, did say in his observation, about John's Gospel, at least in my 'notes'. The single, biggest reason why Christian's, yes--Christian's loose their faith, is about the 'complexities', that they confound in their mind. I'd like to insert the word, 'needless', somewhere there, but don't know it's placement.
In excess, then the, my ship
had already changed course 25 degree's, bearing port, but still with an 'gravitational pull', to starboard. In either case, consultancy with 50% of the body, wherever inferred, is sure to present an tidal wave, and make me an goner.
To ignore all this, now, no-one want's that, especially me, for it defeat's the messenger, the message, may appear demotic, to point of an Lenten denude...
For me in the end, is best a place, to re-start now.
We, all have an very Merciful Lord, why he bestow's so much Blessing's on me, my household, [our], the mere time given me to work threw these thing's, in [association] is simply awesome, and astounding.
My insurance salesperson once said to me, [when I was insurable] true-Scotty; re an necessary million $ insurance policy this; "I can guarantee you the money, but I can't guarantee you the time".
To this nearer point, I can't even say that I bought the, 'Time', or that I did much of 'anything'. But, I do recall, another time, 'U' helped me make 'small little reed crosses', that ended up 'maybe', my fortune.
If, I've learned anything at all, and reminded in sometimes read - Luke - that once God call's, you, and you answer affirmatively, and with responsive conviction. He, most definitely will never, never let YOU go...
But, their are term's, and conditions...you must follow...and it's not the desultory path that lead's to another place, HE most certainly does not want you to take.
But, in that process, be it certain...that over your shoulder...your WILL...he can, but 'won't control'. And that, an example, will be made, for good or for evil. Their, are many such historical figure's.
I live in the present, now, and searching here, and in the word...looking for difficult clarity, is not easy, but I', 'don't feel alone'.
Thank You, for helping me choose, Pa, as well, the rather an continued, 'right path'. We shall see. In God's good Grace, we abide.
Sincerely, + k
PS: This definitely, was not my first response, to your above comment's, observations in the Blog, for Luke 10:1-24. My ship may be listing an bit, but in the, 'wheel-house', if I'm the captain...on this issue, I've done an meditative 360 degree's. The other step, is much 'harder', actually putting, or allowing the 'wheel' be put in God's sole hand's. That, is much more positive, forebearance good new's, than my other. oddly enough - my - word blog verification word is designated as, qjhah, at best, construed as 'hah' to the devil, perchance best, to word - qjcry - to Jesus. I'm sorry if that sound's melodramatic, but that's the way, my mind is sort of programmed. I'm not 'one to think of these thing's alone', nor can I write of them. I alway's need to be 'involved', if in an positive environment I think, creatively. For, Lent, and forward...I need to avoid, lesser spiritual influences, so I can avoid the missive, right at least the mizzen, in HOPE, PEACE.
